William Chilufya is a civil society advocate based in Zambia. Currently, Chilufya is the Country Coordinator for the Zambia Civil Society Scaling Up Nutrition Alliance (CSO-SUN). The CSO-SUN Alliance brings together Civil Society Organizations to increase understanding about the crisis of undernutrition in early life so as to raise the profile of Nutrition on Zambia’s development agenda. Chilufya was instrumental in organizing civil society around Scaling Up Nutrition in Zambia and has since contributed to establishing a vibrant and successful civil society network working on Scaling Up Nutrition in Zambia.
William previously worked at the Civil Society for Poverty Reduction (CSPR) coordinating the organization’s pro-poor advocacy initiatives.
William is a member of the Global Scaling Up Nutrition Civil Society Network (SUN CSN) which provides support to country civil society alliances in SUN countries.
He is a qualified advocate holding a degree in Library and Information Studies from the University of Zambia and awaiting the award of a Masters in Development Studies from the University of Free States in South Africa.
